RPG Workshop and Seminar FAQ
Basic Information
- How Do I Find Out What's Going On?
- Use the Events Schedule page. Everything that's planned is there. Of course, there may be unscheduled opportunities to meet with professional RPG writers, industry publishers, artists and vendors. Keep an eye on the Rooms list to see who's where and when.
- How Do I Attend a Seminar/Talk/Workshop?
- To attend any event, you must first be registered. Once you have your login, each event on the Event Schedule page will show a "sign up" link next to it. Click once for each event you'd like to attend.
- Are the Workshops or Seminars Moderated?
- In the sense that you can or can't post at specific times ... some are, some aren't. The moderator will post the rules before any workshop or seminar begins -- so it's important to be on time. There is always a moderator in the room and they are authorized to boot troublemakers from individual events, so please be on good behaviour.
- Who Are the Moderators?
- RPGHost, CyberCon, James, PosterBoy, Chris, Loy, EffieRover and RPGGateway are all moderators. Volunteer moderators will also be around ... you'll know those when they ask you to behave :) If you see anyone else acting in a suspicious manner -- report it to the names above.
- Are Any Chats Recorded?
- Yes, all the main scheduled chats are recorded for future transcripts. Impromptu chats in private and user-made chat rooms are not recorded.
Trouble!
- Why Can't I Sign Up for a Game or Workshop?
- Most likely, because you're not Logged In. First, Register, then log in using your badge ID number and password. This will allow you to reserve your seat in all the online RPG events, games, contests and other things the Con has to offer. Without a login, you can only browse. Other possibilities include the event being full or not "Ready" yet.
- I Can't Get In ... It's Event Time!
- If you can get into the Help Chat, go there first. If not, email one of the addresses at the bottom of this screen. We'll be there during the Con.
